Job summary

Mitie is seeking a part-time Cleaner at Hadley Learning Community in Telford. The role requires 15 hours per week with shifts Monday to Friday and various evening times. You will perform routine and periodic cleaning, ensuring services meet contractual SLA standards and are delivered safely and efficiently.

The successful candidate will train as needed, work well in a team, and comply with all Mitie safety policies. DBS checks and references are required for safeguarding at the school site.

• Reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cleaning to a high standard as per SLA and schedules.
• Work in a team and also on own initiative.
• Follow Mitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
• Maintain cleanliness of the designated area as directed by the Supervisor.
• Ensure equipment is clean, maintained and safe to use.
• Report maintenance or safety issues identified during cleaning.

Job InformationDeliver excellent service standards for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning for a Mitie customer. Ensure the contract service delivery is of a high standard, meeting allSLAagreements whilst adhering to the cleaning schedules.

Main Duties

• -Undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role.
• -Work within a team and under their own initiative.
• -Adhere to allMitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
• -Maintain the designated area to an agreed level of cleanliness in line with the Contract and relevantSLAs, carrying out all daily weekly and periodic tasks as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.
• -Ensure that the service is delivered effectively and efficiently to a high standard.
• -Ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and is a safe working order.
• -Report any maintenance requirements identified during cleaning tasks.
• -Always maintain security - locking doors, following lost property procedures etc.
• -Have a full knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, including the agreed work specification and time allocated to facilities.
• -Have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used byMitie.
• -Set a good example in terms of dress, behaviour, punctuality, and attendance.
• -Ensure all Safeguarding Policies are always adhered to and raise any concerns in line with the Mitie policy.
• -Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• -Ensure contractors and external visitors comply with security and health and safety while on school premises.
• -Build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
• -To undertake any other related duties which are within the job holder's capability, according to the needs of the business.
