Job summary

Mitie is seeking a part-time Cleaner at Harlow Green Primary School in Gateshead area. The role involves delivering high-standard cleaning services, adhering to schedules, and working split shifts from early morning to late afternoon, Monday to Friday.

You will be expected to follow safety, quality and safeguarding policies, operate cleaning equipment safely, and support ongoing improvements in service delivery. DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cleaning to a high standard for routine and periodic tasks in line with the SLA.
• Work within a team and also take initiative when needed.
• Maintain cleaning equipment, materials and chemicals in safe working order.
• Follow Mitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
• Ensure security and safeguarding policies are adhered to and report issues.
• Build positive relationships with customers and seek ways to improve service delivery.

Job Information

Deliver excellent service standards for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning for a Mitie customer. Ensure the contract service delivery is of a high standard, meeting allSLAagreements whilst adhering to the cleaning schedules.

Times are split shift 630-8.45am the return 2.45pm-6pm Monday to Friday

Main Duties

• -Undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role.
• -Work within a team and under their own initiative.
• -Adhere to allMitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
• -Maintain the designated area to an agreed level of cleanliness in line with the Contract and relevantSLAs, carrying out all daily weekly and periodic tasks as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.
• -Ensure that the service is delivered effectively and efficiently to a high standard.
• -Ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and is a safe working order.
• -Report any maintenance requirements identified during cleaning tasks.
• -Always maintain security - locking doors, following lost property procedures etc.
• -Have a full knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, including the agreed work specification and time allocated to facilities.
• -Have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used byMitie.
• -Set a good example in terms of dress, behaviour, punctuality, and attendance.
• -Ensure all Safeguarding Policies are always adhered to and raise any concerns in line with the Mitie policy.
• -Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• -Ensure contractors and external visitors comply with security and health and safety while on school premises.
• -Build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
• -To undertake any other related duties which are within the job holder's capability, according to the needs of the business.
