Job Description:

Overview of Role:

As a cleaning operative, you will be required to undertake cleaning duties across the site, ensuring a complete cleaning service is provided in compliance with CQC and Health & Safety Regulations. (The CQC is the body which ensures health services provide safe, effective, and compassionate care.)

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Ensure that your assigned areas are clean, presentable, and serviceable at all times to improve our customers' day.
• Maintain a clean and tidy environment throughout the hospital, in line with operational standards.
• Present yourself professionally, courteously, and in accordance with company policies, procedures, guidelines, and values.
• Complete all duties related to cleaning and waste collection within designated premises.
• This role can be physically demanding and may involve lifting.
• Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks: washing floors, emptying bins, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
• Assist with laundry duties and rotas as required.
• Use and store cleaning products in accordance with COSHH regulations.
• Take responsibility for your area, ensuring it meets high standards.
• Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Comply with all statutory regulations at all times.
• Follow any reasonable requests from your line manager.

About You:

• Good time management skills.

• Friendly and helpful attitude towards customers.
• Manage time effectively to complete tasks.
• Ability to work alone and within a team.
• Good communication skills.
• An enhanced DBS check will be required.

Previous cleaning experience is desirable; full training will be provided.
