Job summary

ESS – Defence, Energy and Government Services is recruiting a part-time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Defence sites. The role is contracted to 25 hours per week and 50.2 weeks per year.

You will help deliver clean, safe environments and maintain high hygiene standards across client sites. We value a flexible, hands-on approach, and experience in a similar cleaning role is welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for clients and customers.
• Dust, sweep, polish, mop and vacuum designated areas to a high standard.
• Sanitise surfaces, floors, windows and other touchpoints regularly.
• Mop up spillages quickly and efficiently when needed.
• Empty and dispose of bin waste.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies.

We're currently recruiting a part time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Defence, contracted to 25 hours per week. Here's an idea of what your shift patterns will be: 5 out of 7 days

Please note: This role is contracted to 50.2 weeks per year

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.

Our Ideal Cleaner Will

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands-on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
