Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking a part-time Cleaner to join our Defence, Government, and Energy services team. The role is contracted for 30 hours per week with Mon-Fri day shifts.

You will support our cleaning and facilities teams to maintain safe, hygienic environments for our clients and customers across a range of sites in the Defence sector. Experience in cleaning is helpful but not essential; a flexible, reliable attitude and strong attention to detail are key.

Responsibilities

• Work with cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments clean and hygienic for clients and customers.
• Dust, sweep, polish, mop and vacuum designated areas to a high standard.
• Sanitise surfaces, floors, windows and other touchpoints regularly.
• Carry out additional cleaning duties as required, including spill clean-ups.
• Empty and dispose of bin waste.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies.

Job description

We're currently recruiting a part time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Defence, contracted to 30 hours per week. Please note: This role is contracted to 50.2 weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.

Our ideal Cleaner will:

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands-on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
