Job summary

ESS – Defence, Energy and Government Services is seeking a Cleaner - Zero Hours to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Defence. The role is permanent casual with zero hours per week contracted, designed for flexibility and reliable coverage across locations.

The successful candidate will work alongside our teams to keep environments safe and hygienic, performing routine cleaning tasks and ensuring high standards of cleanliness in client and customer areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning roles preferred but not essential.
• Able to work in a hands-on role with a flexible approach.
• Attention to detail and a reliable work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer.
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard.
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly.
• Performing additional cleaning duties as required, such as mopping up spillages quickly.
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste.
• Monitoring and restocking cleaning supplies.

We're currently recruiting a permanent casual Cleaner - Zero Hours to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Defence, contracted to 0 hours per week. Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer

• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently

• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands-on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
