Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaner to deliver excellent service standards, meet SLA agreements and adhere to cleaning schedules at Durham University, Queens Campus, Stockton-on-Tees.

The position is permanent, part-time (20 hours per week) with a rate of £12.71 per hour. Basic English reading/writing is required.

You will be responsible for keeping equipment clean and safe, following cleaning schedules, and maintaining knowledge of the area and cleaning chemicals.

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Flexible and proactive approach to work.
• Open, honest, self-driven, and determined attitude.
• Reliable and hardworking with a professional demeanour.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained, and in safe working order
• Meet all agreed SLAs and follow cleaning schedules
• Build knowledge of the designated cleaning area and understand cleaning equipment and chemicals used
• Follow Health and Safety requirements and complete all required training
