Job summary

SeeMe Hired Ltd is seeking hardworking cleaners for an educational building in Frinton-on-Sea. The role involves completing general cleaning tasks, deep cleaning when required, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment.

Applicants should have prior cleaning experience and COSHH knowledge. English communication is needed, with fixed shifts from 15:10–17:40 or 15:30–17:30. DBS check will be required for successful candidates.

Responsibilities

• Carry out periodic deep-cleaning tasks as needed.
• Follow health, safety regulations and COSHH.
• Report maintenance issues or hazards promptly.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Support colleagues to maintain high cleanliness standards.

General Cleaning Tasks

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
• Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture.
• Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
• Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.

Specialist & Deep Cleaning

• Carrying out periodic deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., carpet cleaning, polishing floors).
• Using appropriate cleaning materials for different surfaces to maintain standards and protect equipment.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Using cleaning equipment safely (e.g., buffers, steamers, vacuums), ensuring proper storage after use.
• Following health & safety regulations, including safe use of cleaning chemicals (COSHH).
• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or damages promptly.

Teamwork & Independence

• Working independently to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
• Supporting colleagues as needed to ensure high overall cleanliness standards.

Job Details

• Pay: £12.71 per hour.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 15:10-17:40 OR 15:30-17:30.

• Requirements: Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
