Job summary

The University of Chichester Academy Trust is seeking a reliable cleaner to join our facilities team. You will be responsible for cleaning a range of areas and waste disposal, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for students and staff.

You will participate in deep-clean activities during school holidays, with schedules agreed in advance with the premises team and Site Manager, contributing to a pleasant learning environment.

• Clean toilets, classrooms, corridors, offices, library, hall and other communal areas.
• Dispose of waste safely and in line with procedures.
• Deep-clean during school holidays (Easter, Summer, and an additional week) as agreed with premises team and Site Manager.

Job description

As a cleaner, you will be responsible for a range of cleaning tasks, including collection and disposal of waste.

Areas to be cleaned will include toilets, classrooms, corridors, offices, library, hall and other communal areas including communal appliances such as the dishwashers and fridges.

You will also be required to be part of the deep-clean team in the holiday periods, cleaning wider areas of the school. This is usually 1 week of the Easter holidays and 2 weeks of the summer holidays, and 1 other week to be arranged. Dates and timings are agreed in advance with the premises team and Site Manager.
