Job summary

Compass Group UK is recruiting a part-time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams serving Universities, with a contract of 15 hours per week. The role involves mornings across Mon to Fri, working within Compass’s extensive university portfolio.

As a Cleaner you will help deliver great client experiences by maintaining safe, hygienic environments and supporting the cleaning team. The role offers competitive pay, with opportunities for development within one of the UK’s largest services

• Brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Cleaning experience in a similar role preferred but not essential.
• Flexible approach to working.

Responsibilities

• Keep environments safe and hygienic for clients and customers.
• Dust, sweep, polish, mop and vacuum designated areas to a high standard.
• Ensure surfaces, floors, windows and touchpoints are sanitised regularly.
• Perform additional cleaning duties as required, e.g. mopping spillages quickly.
• Empty and dispose of bin waste.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies.

• Mon: Mornings
• Tues: Mornings
• Weds: Mornings
• Thurs: Mornings
• Fri: Mornings

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.

Our ideal Cleaner will:

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands-on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
