Job summary

MyNewTerm is looking for a reliable school cleaner to join our Portsmouth team. You will perform routine cleaning tasks to a high standard in line with United Learning procedures, maintain equipment, and report faults to your supervisor.

You will work safely using provided cleaning materials and methods. The role includes deep-cleaning and evening cleaning sessions as directed, a focus on good customer care, and contributing to a secure building by locking up and following health and safety

Job description

To carry out cleaning duties following United Learning procedures and policies, working as part of the team.

To ensure that sufficient staffing levels are maintained in the area to meet the business needs.

To carry out cleaning tasks to ensure that a high standard of cleaning is maintained.

To keep equipment clean and maintained and report any faults to your supervisor

Work in a safe manner and adhere to Safe Methods of Work.

To correctly use the cleaning equipment and materials provided, in compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures

Deliver a programme of deep cleans and evening cleaning sessions for all areas of the Academy during the holiday and throughout the year, as directed by the Site Manager

To ensure that all accidents/near misses are reported to the Site Manager.

To follow COSHH Risk Assessments and procedures

To control and issue cleaning materials and equipment.

To ensure that the team provide excellent customer care at all times

To be responsible for locking the school building
