Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a permanent casual Cleaner - Zero Hours to join our cleaning and facilities teams at Universities, contracted to 0 hours per week. You will help maintain safe, hygienic environments across university sites.

The role is hands-on, requiring a flexible approach to shifts; cleaning experience is preferred but not essential. Compass offers competitive pay, opportunities for learning and development within a large national network.

Responsibilities

• Keep environments safe and hygienic for clients and customers
• Dust, sweep, polish, mop and vacuum designated areas to a high standard
• Sanitise surfaces, floors, windows and touchpoints regularly
• Perform additional cleaning duties as required, such as spill management
• Empty and dispose of bin waste and manage supplies
• Monitor and restock cleaning products as needed

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies

Our Ideal Cleaner - Zero Hours Will

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands-on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
