Royal Mail is a well–loved brand with the assets, infrastructure and scale to deliver billions of precious packages each year. Royal Mail P&FS are recruiting for Cleaning Operatives at Yorkshire Parcel Hub.

Pay: £12.21 per hour plus night allowance (£4.06 per hour).

Benefits: 22.5 days annual leave, rising to 25 after 5 years’ service, plus bank holidays, uniform, PPE, employee referral scheme and Defined Contribution pension scheme plus car parking.

Contract type: Permanent

Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

As part of Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions you will work from 18:00 to 02:00 either as part of a team or as the only cleaner on site, ensuring we continue to deliver the high standards of service our customers expect.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks such as mopping, toilet cleaning, washing walls, vacuuming, emptying bins, dusting and sanitising surfaces safely and professionally to a high standard.
• Operate a variety of cleaning equipment; full training is provided with a first day induction.
• Work in a physically challenging environment with manual handling activities.

About You

• Previous cleaning experience is desired, but not essential.
• Friendly with good written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with customers and managers while complying with Health & Safety regulations.
• Reliable, self-motivated with a keen eye for detail; able to work on your own initiative and organise your own time, as you’ll be managed remotely.
