Overview

An exciting opportunity has become available to work within the building cleaning team at Macclesfield Town Hall. The position is for 15 hours per week over a Monday to Friday working pattern, between 7am and 10am.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying of litter bins, polishing and dusting of designated areas (which may include toilets and shower areas) and fixtures and fittings, using appropriate powered equipment.
  • Follow a daily/weekly cleaning schedule.
  • Carry out tasks in line with health and safety requirements and be able to lift and carry buckets of water, bags of rubbish, vacuums and chairs; stand and bend as needed.
Essential and Desirable Criteria

You will have:

  • Evidence of previous cleaning experience
  • Ability to read and write and carry out basic calculations to read instructions and write messages
  • Use of initiative
  • Good timekeeper
  • Ability to work in a team and work alone when needed
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials
  • Ability to stand and bend and comply with health & safety requirements
