Job summary

Kindred is seeking hardworking and reliable cleaners to join an educational site in Long Eaton. You will perform general cleaning, assist with specialist cleaning, and uphold health and safety standards while maintaining high cleanliness throughout the building.

You should be able to follow instructions, communicate in English, and work with minimal supervision to complete tasks within fixed shift times. DBS checks may be required for successful candidates.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• General cleaning: dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors.
• Deep cleaning tasks and surface disinfection where needed.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment and store after use.
• Work independently to meet time targets while supporting colleagues as needed.

Job description

General Cleaning Tasks:

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.


• Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture.


• Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.


• Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.

Specialist & Deep Cleaning

• Carrying out periodic deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., carpet cleaning, polishing floors).


• Using appropriate cleaning materials for different surfaces to maintain standards and protect equipment.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Using cleaning equipment safely (e.g., buffers, steamers, vacuums), ensuring proper storage after use.


• Following health & safety regulations, including safe use of cleaning chemicals (COSHH).


• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or damages promptly.

Teamwork & Independence

• Working independently to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.


• Supporting colleagues as needed to ensure high overall cleanliness standards.

• Pay: £12.71 per hour.


• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 15.00-18.00


• Location: Derby Rd, Long Eaton, Nottingham NG10 4WT


• Requirements: Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
