Job summary

Carmarthenshire County Council in Wales is seeking a diligent cleaner to maintain cleanliness across council facilities. Duties include dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and emptying waste bins, with replenishment of consumables and occasional deep cleaning.

You will operate cleaning equipment and chemicals in line with health and safety guidance. Level 1 Welsh knowledge is required, with support provided to reach this level.

Our ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and take pride in ensuring that all areas are spotless and free of clutter. Duties include dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and emptying waste bins as well as replenishing consumable items and deep cleaning as required. You will be responsible for using cleaning equipment, machinery, and chemicals, following health and safety guidance. You will also need:

• A positive attitude and the willingness to learn new skills.
• Flexibility and the willingness to assist with other cleaning requirements.

Level 1 - You will need a basic knowledge of Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
