Overview

Cleaner position at Pladis, Canal Street, South Wigston, Leicestershire, England, LE18 4PQ. Rate of pay: £12.21 per hour. Contract: Permanent, full-time. Hours: 36 hours per week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Location: Pladis UK, McVities South Wigston – cleaning a range of brand name biscuit products facilities across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Clean various machines and areas across the factory.
• Work at height; training will be provided for working at height and IPAF certification.
• Safe use of cleaning chemicals and proper waste removal to appropriate areas.
• Perform one-off cleaning tasks as needed and support the team during staff shortages, audits, or VIP visits.
• Possess the ability to work effectively as part of a team and also independently without supervision.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Fluency in English (100%) is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Mitie and clients; demonstrate enthusiasm for a challenging and varied working environment.
• Strong commitment to the success of the contract and achievement of site objectives.
• Team player with capacity to learn, motivate others, and work collaboratively.
• Right to work in the UK; a full UK driving licence would be good but not essential.

Shift Details and Reporting

Shift is 6am to 6pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The role reports to the Weekend Supervisor, Sami Mami.
