About The Company

Beaumont College is a very special place. We provide highly personalised pathways for special school leavers, supporting them in their journey to become adults and live independent, fulfilling lives.

Our main college is located in Lancaster and offers students options to attend as day students or residential students. Residential options include 52 weeks (full year) or term-time only, with stays of 4, 5, or 7 nights.

The post-holder will work as part of the housekeeping team, including weekend work, with consideration for Monday to Friday shifts if required. Responsibilities include ensuring the smooth operation of the laundry room, working closely with Residential Support to keep student laundry up to date and properly distributed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Carry out general housekeeping tasks within college, individually and as part of a team, to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in line with infection control policies.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors and carpets where applicable.
  • Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated collection points.
  • Dust, damp wipe, wash, or polish furniture, ledges, window sills, cupboards, radiators, shelves, and fixtures.
  • Clean and sanitize toilets, urinals, showers/baths, countertops, and sinks.
  • Maintain clean sanitary kitchen areas.
  • Undertake wall washing or inside window cleaning during periodic cleaning, reaching no higher than body height plus arm extension.
  • Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels as needed.
  • Report repairs or replacements to your line manager.
  • Participate in deep cleaning rotations during college holidays to support infection control.
  • Assist in the college laundry room if necessary.
  • Conform to health and safety regulations, fire, risk assessments, and COSHH policies.
  • Communicate with the Support team to ensure task continuity.
  • Undertake training as per Salutem policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the College Principal, Business Manager, or Housekeeping Manager.
