Job summary

ESS – Defence, Energy and Government Services, part of Compass Group UK&I, is seeking a dedicated Cleaner (Zero Hours) to support Defence sites on a casual basis. The role focuses on maintaining high hygiene and safety standards across client environments.

The successful candidate will perform dusting, sweeping, mopping, sanitising touchpoints, and restocking supplies as part of a flexible, on-site cleaning team, with opportunities to grow within the Defence/Government services division.

Qualifications

• Brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Enjoy hands-on cleaning duties.
• Experience in a similar role is helpful but not essential.
• Flexible approach to working.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Cleaner (Zero Hours) to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Defence on a permanent casual basis, contracted to 0 hours per week.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
