Job summary

Borders Buses (Galashiels) is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our Galashiels depot. You will keep our fleet clean, presentable and ready for service each day, with duties covering interior and exterior cleaning, floors, seats and high-contact areas.

The role involves a mix of day and back/evening shifts, a minimum of 36 hours per week, and potential overtime on the sixth day. Full training and progression opportunities are provided.

We are currently looking for a full-time Cleaner to join our team at our busy Galashiels depot.

What you’ll be doing

As a Cleaner, you will play an important role in ensuring our fleet is clean, presentable and ready for service each day. Duties will include:

• Cleaning buses internally and externally to a high standard
• Cleaning seats, floors, windows, handrails and other high-contact areas
• Carrying out deep cleaning tasks when required
• Using cleaning products and equipment safely and effectively
• Assisting with the cleaning and upkeep of the depot facilities
• Helping maintain excellent hygiene and presentation standards across our fleet

Hours of Work

• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Working 5 days over 7
• A mixture of day and back/evening shifts
