Ark Castledown Primary Academy in Hastings is seeking a part-time Cleaner to manage a 13.75-hour week, Monday to Friday, 3pm–5:45pm. The role supports a safe and clean school environment and requires DBS checks prior to appointment.

The school offers a friendly environment and a competitive salary with additional benefits. The successful candidate will have cleaning experience in a school setting, be reliable, adaptable, and able to work with minimal supervision, following the academy’s policies

Ark Castledown Primary Academy is a popular school in the heart of Hastings. Since transitioning to Ark in September 2017, the school has seen significant improvement in all areas. We have a dedicated staff team committed to providing the best possible education for our pupils. We are seeking to appoint a well-organised Cleaner who is able to manage their own workload and ensure that high standards of presentation and cleanliness are maintained. You will need to be flexible in your approach and respond to the needs of the school with a positive, can-do attitude. You will be required to undertake compliance training, show a commitment to safe working practices and have a basic knowledge of health and safety.

• have experience of cleaning, preferably in a school environment

• be able to take ownership of tasks and work with minimal supervision

Contract: Permanent, TTO plus 7 days during school holidays

Hours: 13.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 3pm – 5.45pm

Salary: £24,482.00 pro rataActual pay: £8330.00
