Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a part-time Cleaner to join Defence cleaning and facilities teams. The role is contracted to 17.5 hours per week with morning shifts Mon–Fri.

The position operates across Defence, Government and energy services, supporting military establishments and secure government sites. The role is aligned with our promise to deliver excellent customer service in a supportive, safety-conscious environment and requires flexibility to cover shifts within a 49.2 week year

Qualifications

• Organisational skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Hands-on approach and flexibility help during cleaning duties.
• Cleaning experience is helpful but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work early shifts and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard.
• Maintain hygienic surfaces, floors, windows, and touchpoints.
• Perform additional cleaning duties as required, such as mopping up spillages.
• Empty waste bins and manage cleaning supplies restocking.

We're currently recruiting a part time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Defence, contracted to 17.5 hours per week. As one of our dedicated Cleaners, you will help to deliver on our promise to always create the best and brightest experiences for our clients and customers. If you're a committed Cleaner looking for a role you'll shine in, we've got the position for you.

Here's an idea of what your shift pattern will be:

• Mon: Mornings
• Tues: Mornings
• Weds: Mornings
• Thurs: Mornings
• Fri: Mornings

Please note: This role is contracted to 49.2 weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.

Our ideal Cleaner will:

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands-on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
