Job summary

Kindred is seeking hardworking cleaners to be based in an educational building in Coventry. The role offers £12.71 per hour and a Monday–Friday 15:15–17:45 schedule at Dorchester Way, Coventry CV2 2NB.

You will perform general cleaning, including dusting, vacuuming, sanitising surfaces, restocking supplies, and occasional deep-cleaning. DBS check is required; you will work independently with supervision as needed.

• Pay: £12.71 per hour.

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 15:15 - 17:45

• Location: Dorchester Way, Coventry CV2 2NB

• Requirements: Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

About the role

Responsibilities:

General Cleaning Tasks:

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.

• Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture.

• Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.

• Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.

Specialist & Deep Cleaning:

• Carrying out periodic deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., carpet cleaning, polishing floors).

• Using appropriate cleaning materials for different surfaces to maintain standards and protect equipment.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Using cleaning equipment safely (e.g., buffers, steamers, vacuums), ensuring proper storage after use.

• Following health & safety regulations, including safe use of cleaning chemicals (COSHH).

• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or damages promptly.

Teamwork & Independence:

• Working independently to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.

• Supporting colleagues as needed to ensure high overall cleanliness standards.
