Job summary

JDR Recruitment are recruiting for a Cleaner to work at a pharmaceutical laboratory based in Deeside. The role involves cleaning laboratories, offices, corridors and welfare facilities to high hygiene standards.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 6am-12pm or 7am-1pm (30 hours per week). The pay rate is £12.71 per hour, and you will follow SOPs, COSHH rules and GMP policies while contributing to a safe, compliant working environment.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written procedures and instructions.
• Understanding of health and safety practices.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean laboratories, offices, corridors, changing rooms and welfare facilities.
• Carry out scheduled cleaning of floors, walls, work surfaces, windows and equipment exteriors.
• Follow approved cleaning procedures and SOPs.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely in accordance with COSHH.
• Dispose of waste appropriately, including laboratory and controlled waste where authorised.
• Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels, sanitiser and PPE.
• Maintain cleaning records and documentation.
• Report maintenance issues, spillages, contamination risks, or safety concerns.
• Support audits and inspections by ensuring areas remain compliant and inspection-ready.
• Wear and maintain required PPE.
• Comply with GMP, Health & Safety and environmental policies at all times.
