Job summary

Compass Group UK & I, ESS, Defence, Government, and Energy services sector, is hiring a full-time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams. The role covers Mon-Fri days, 37.5 hours weekly, focusing on hygiene, safety and exceptional client service.

You will dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, sanitize surfaces, restock supplies, and support with spillages. No prior cleaning experience required, but reliability and a hands-on approach are valued. Compass Group operates across 250+ UK sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning roles is preferred but not essential.
• Flexibility to work full-time Mon-Fri days.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to delivering high standards of hygiene and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard.
• Dust and sanitise surfaces, floors, windows and touchpoints regularly.
• Empty bin waste and manage waste disposal.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and restock as needed.
• Assist with spillages promptly and efficiently.
• Work alongside cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for clients and customers.

We're currently recruiting a full time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Defence, contracted to 37.5 hours per week. As one of our dedicated Cleaners, you will help to deliver on our promise to always create the best and brightest experiences for our clients and customers. If you're a committed Cleaner looking for a role you'll shine in, we've got the position for you. Here's an idea of what your shift patterns will be: Mon-Fri (Full Time Days) Your key responsibilities will include:

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.
  Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands‑on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
