Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaner Operative at Menzies Distribution in Carlisle. This part-time role (10 hours) pays £13.05 per hour and offers flexible hours across Carlisle sites.

You will join an established team, helping to maintain high cleaning standards and meet SLAs while benefiting from good transport links nearby. You will be trained to deliver reliable cleaning, follow safety rules, and communicate effectively.

Job description

Working in a commercial environment in the North of Carlisle, Kingsmore Park, this role requires attention to detail and enthusiastic approach. This rewarding role enables you to be part of an established team working to highest of standards. Close to public transport links.

You will be working 5 days out of 7 and times are flexible throughout the week. This is an ideal opportunity for someone wanting to get back into work following a break or just starting out on your career pathway. There are opportunities available to work extra hours on various sites across Carlisle.

In your new role as a Cleaner Operative you will ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order and meeting all agreed SLAs. Build your knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, when the work needs to be carried out and all cleaning equipment and chemicals used on the premises while following Health and Safety requirements. You will need to undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role. You will be required to work within a team and can work under their own initiative. You will need to build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivery excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.

In order to be successful in this role you will need have the ability to communicate and read basic English, previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential and have a flexible approach to the role. You will need to be open, honest, self-driven and determined. You'll need to be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.
