Your new company
HMP Cardiff is a Category B men's prison located in Cardiff, Wales. Established in 1832, it is one of the oldest operational prisons in the UK and is managed by His Majesty's Prison Service. The prison primarily serves the South East Wales area, accommodating adult male prisoners who are remanded into custody or have been sentenced.
Your new role
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking General Cleaner to join the team based at HMP Cardiff. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the site.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
• Clean restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met
• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as corridors, offices, kitchens, and reception areas
• Report any maintenance or repair issues promptly.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and cleaning protocols

Shift Pattern-Monday to Friday: 6am-2pm
£14.62 per hour inclusive of holiday

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of cleaning experience on large sites, excellent attention to detail, be reliable and punctual and physically fit and able to carry out all manual cleaning tasks.
