Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a part-time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Defence, contracted to 20 hours per week and 50.2 weeks per year. You will support a range of UK military establishments and government sites with high standards of cleanliness.

As a friendly, reliable team member you will dust, sweep, mop and sanitise surfaces, restock supplies and help maintain safe, hygienic environments for clients and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning roles preferred but not essential.
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work in a Defence/government environment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping and vacuuming designated areas to high standards.
• Ensure surfaces, floors and touchpoints are sanitised regularly.
• Restock cleaning supplies and monitor stock levels.
• Empty and dispose of waste in a safe, compliant manner.
• Support the cleaning and facilities teams to maintain safe, hygienic environments.
• Perform additional cleaning duties as required to meet client needs.

We're currently recruiting a part time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Defence, contracted to 20 hours per week. As one of our dedicated Cleaners, you will help to deliver on our promise to always create the best and brightest experiences for our clients and customers. If you're a committed Cleaner looking for a role you'll shine in, we've got the position for you.

Please note: This role is contracted to 50.2 weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.

Our ideal Cleaner will:

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands-on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
