Job summary

Sodexo in Bury is seeking a reliable part-time Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming site. You will be part of a friendly team responsible for daily cleaning tasks across kitchens, meeting rooms, offices and toilets.

You should take pride in high standards of cleanliness, have good communication, and be able to work independently as well as part of the team. Training and BPSS security checks will be completed as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cleaning or facilities role is preferred.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to complete training including security checks.

Responsibilities

• Complete cleaning tasks across kitchens, meeting rooms, offices and toilets.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation site-wide.
• Keep supplies topped up (toilet rolls, soap, sanitiser, wipes).
• Follow health and safety procedures including COSHH and PPE usage.
• Report hazards or faulty equipment to Line Manager.
• Provide cover for holidays and absence when required.

You’llplay an important role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across thesite, working as part of a supportive team. This is a great opportunity forsomeone who takes pride in their work, has a great eye for detail and islooking for a reliable part-time role.

What you’ll do:

• Keep our site looking its best by completing scheduled cleaning tasks across kitchens, meeting rooms, offices, toilets and other areas.
• Take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout the site.
• Keep essential supplies topped up, including toilet roll, blue roll, hand soap, sanitiser and hand wipes.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including COSHH, infection control, security requirements and the correct use of PPE.
• Work safely and responsibly, reporting any hazards, safety concerns, faulty equipment or other issues to your Line Manager.
• Have a flexible approach to your role, supporting other areas of the site and providing cover for holidays and absence when required.

What you bring:

• Previous experience in a similar cleaning or facilities role, ideally within a corporate office environment.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.
• A reliable and proactive approach, with the confidence to work independently while also being a supportive team member.
• Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and working in line with relevant data protection and security requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards at all times.
• Willingness to complete any training required for the role, including first aid and security awareness, and to successfully complete the required BPSS security checks.
