Job Title: School Cleaner

Join our team of dedicated cleaners in schools across the Leven area. We are currently offering both permanent and temporary positions, Monday to Friday, to help maintain a clean and safe environment for pupils and staff.

1. High Schools

• Levenmouth Academy (Mobile Cleaner) – 22.5 hours/week, 40-week contract, Monday to Friday, 3:00pm to 7:00pm
• Levenmouth Academy (Cleaner) – 22.5 hours/week, 40-week contract, Monday to Friday, 3:00pm to 7:00pm

• Denbeath Primary School (Cleaner) – 8 hours/week, 40-week contract, Monday to Friday, 3:00pm to 7:00pm

• St Agatha’s Primary School (Cleaner) – 20 hours/week, 40-week contract, Monday to Friday, 3:00pm to 7:00pm.
  This position is temporary for 6 months.

Salary and Benefits

You will earn a pro-rata salary of £22,525.71 and have access to a range of benefits, including:

• Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £12.00 per hour, with additional payments for shift work, including weekends.
• Annualized pay for 40-week contracts, paid in equal installments every 4 weeks.

Role Responsibilities

This role involves ensuring that pupils and staff return to a clean and safe environment each school day. No previous experience is required, as on-the-job training is provided, including training towards The Cleaning Operatives Proficiency Certificate.

Person Specification

Before confirming your appointment, you will need to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and join the relevant PVG scheme. You will also attend an induction training session prior to starting in the role.
