Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking cleaners for office settings in Brighton. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in designated areas, using cleaning materials and machinery as instructed. A valid DBS with a children's barred list check is mandatory. Job description

Non-branded black t-shirt, dark colour trousers, and non-slip safety shoes. Ensure you bring a black warm jumper in case it is cold on site. A tabard will be provided on site.

Important: YOU MUST HAVE A DBS WITH CHILDREN'S BARRED LIST CHECK. ALL STAFF MUST HAVE THEIR DBS WHEN THEY ATTEND A SHIFT. YOU MAY BE ASKED TO SHOW YOUR DBS CERTIFICATE.

Responsible for carrying out cleaning and other related duties within OFFICE settings. Cleaning should be carried out in line with the area cleaning schedule and to the standards set out in the service specification. You will work on your own initiative with the support and guidance of the Cleaning Supervisor.

You will:

1. Be responsible for cleaning designated areas of the OFFICES as allocated by the Cleaning Supervisor.
2. Use cleaning materials as instructed by the Supervisor.
3. Operate cleaning machinery such as vacuum cleaners and polishers on soft and hard surfaces.
4. Perform duties including vacuuming floors, spot cleaning spillages, wiping furniture, ledges, pipes, doors, and polishing door glass.
5. Empty and clean bins, clean toilets and sanitary fittings, mop and spray clean hard floor surfaces.
6. Wipe, polish, and straighten furniture.
7. Replenish janitorial supplies in toilets and other areas.
8. Check and close windows, switch off lights after work.
9. Participate in an annual deep clean of staffrooms, kitchens, dining areas, and other frequently used spaces.
