Job summary

Coventry Road Dental in Birmingham is seeking a Cleaner to maintain high hygiene standards across clinical and non-clinical areas, ensuring a clean, welcoming environment for patients and staff.

This role offers flexible 10 hours per week (early mornings or late evenings) within a supportive team at a busy practice; training and development opportunities are provided as part of a nationwide network of over 220 practices.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or hygiene experience is desirable.
• Good attention to detail and high standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to learn infection control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all clinical and non-clinical areas are cleaned to the highest standards.
• Follow cleaning schedules and infection prevention protocols.
• Maintain stock of cleaning supplies and report shortages.
• Support the practice team with additional tasks when needed.
• Create a welcoming, tidy, and hygienic environment for patients and staff.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Ensure all clinical and non-clinical areas are cleaned and sanitised to the highest standards.
• Follow cleaning schedules and infection prevention protocols in line with health and safety guidance.
• Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain stock of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or issues.
• Support the practice team with occasional additional tasks when needed.
• Create a welcoming, tidy, and hygienic environment for patients and team members.

Skills and Attributes We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in a cleaning or hygiene-focused role is desirable.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and professional in your approach.
• Understanding of or willingness to learn infection control and health & safety procedures.
