Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a part-time Cleaner to join the 14Forty cleaning and facilities team in Birmingham. The role is contracted to 17.5 hours per week with evening shifts, contributing to a safe and hygienic environment for clients and customers.

You will work as part of our cleaning team, keeping spaces clean and well-maintained, with opportunities to learn and grow within a large, leading company.

Qualifications

• Brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Enjoy working in a hands-on role.
• Cleaning experience in a similar role is welcome but not essential.
• Flexible approach to working.

Responsibilities

• Work with our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic.
• Dust, sweep, polish, mop and vacuum designated areas to a high standard.
• Ensure surfaces, floors, windows and touchpoints are sanitised regularly.
• Perform additional cleaning duties as required, such as mopping spillages quickly.
• Empty and dispose of bin waste.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies.

• Mon: Evenings
• Tues: Evenings
• Weds: Evenings
• Thurs: Evenings
• Fri: Evenings

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.

Our ideal Cleaner will:

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands‑on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
