Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a cleaner in Bedford to join our facilities team. The role involves maintaining clean equipment and premises, working Mon-Fri with specified shifts, and delivering reliable service to meet SLAs.

You will train to perform cleaning tasks and integrate into the team while upholding safety standards. We value personable, honest individuals who are self-driven and dependable.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate and read basic English.
• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential and have a flexible approach to the role.
• Open, honest, self-driven and determined.
• Reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order and meeting all agreed SLAs.
• Build knowledge of the designated cleaning area and follow health and safety requirements.
• Undertake all training required to deliver the cleaning role.
• Work within a team and can work under their own initiative.

What You Will Do As a Cleaner

• Ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order and meeting all agreed SLAs
• Build your knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, when the work needs to be carried out and all cleaning equipment and chemicals used on the premises while following Health and Safety requirements
• Undertake all training required to deliver the cleaning role
• Work within a team and can work under their own initiative
• Build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivery excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
