Job summary

SeeMeHired is seeking hardworking cleaners for an educational building in Nottingham. The role involves general cleaning tasks, deep cleaning, and sanitising surfaces to meet high standards. You’ll work with appropriate cleaning materials, follow COSHH guidelines, and report issues promptly.

Candidates should be able to work independently with some supervision, adhere to fixed shift patterns, and undergo an enhanced DBS check if required. Previous cleaning experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Able to complete the physical demands with reasonable adjustments.
• Follow instructions and work safely for periods of time on their own.
• Complete tasks within a specified timeframe.
• An ability to communicate in English, although English as a first language is not a requirement.
• Able to fulfil the shift patterns because the timings of the role would be fixed.

Job description

General Cleaning Tasks:

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.


• Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture.


• Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.


• Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.

Specialist & Deep Cleaning:

• Carrying out periodic deep‑cleaning tasks (e.g., carpet cleaning, polishing floors).


• Using appropriate cleaning materials for different surfaces to maintain standards and protect equipment.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Using cleaning equipment safely (e.g., buffers, steamers, vacuums), ensuring proper storage after use.


• Following health & safety regulations, including safe use of cleaning chemicals (COSHH).


• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or damages promptly.

Teamwork & Independence:

• Working independently to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.


• Supporting colleagues as needed to ensure high overall cleanliness standards.
