Job summary

Kindred is seeking hardworking cleaners to be based in an educational building in Dunstable. The role requires completing general cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces, with a DBS check for successful candidates. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 16:00-18:00, at Lowther Rd, Dunstable.

Pay is £12.71 per hour. Applicants should be reliable, able to follow instructions, and able to work independently or with the team to maintain high cleanliness standards.

Cleaner

• Requirements: Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

About the role

Responsibilities:

General Cleaning Tasks:

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.




• Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture.




• Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.




• Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.

Specialist & Deep Cleaning:

• Carrying out periodic deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., carpet cleaning, polishing floors).




• Using appropriate cleaning materials for different surfaces to maintain standards and protect equipment.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Using cleaning equipment safely (e.g., buffers, steamers, vacuums), ensuring proper storage after use.




• Following health & safety regulations, including safe use of cleaning chemicals (COSHH).




• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or damages promptly.

Teamwork & Independence:

• Working independently to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.




• Supporting colleagues as needed to ensure high overall cleanliness standards.
