Job Title: Clean water Treatment - Principal Process Engineer

Location: Falmer - Hybrid Working (ideally 2 days a week in Falmer, open to 1 day every 2 weeks)

Are you ready to lead groundbreaking projects that shape the future of water management? We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Engineer to join our team and drive innovation in delivering essential infrastructure.

Job Overview:

As a Principal Engineer, you will lead high-impact water projects, guiding a talented design team across disciplines such as Civil, Mechanical, EICA, Process, Network Modelling, or Hydraulics. Your role involves technical analysis and ensuring project delivery within schedule and budget, focusing on sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions.

You will lead parts of or complete schemes, working closely with Project Design Leads and stakeholders to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions. Responsibilities include:

1. Developing and implementing risk assessments and health & safety strategies.
2. Ensuring designs are sustainable and environmentally friendly.
3. Providing guidance on design calculations, specifications, and contracts.
4. Managing project budgets and resolving technical issues.
5. Driving continuous improvement and researching industry best practices.
6. Collaborating with supply chains to enhance efficiency and standards.
7. Mentoring junior engineers.
8. Delivering projects within budget by implementing cost-effective solutions.
9. Influencing stakeholders for optimal outcomes.
10. Keeping projects on track and within timelines.
11. Aligning project outcomes with customer and regulatory expectations.

About You:

• Qualifications: MEng/BEng/BSc or HNC in Engineering, Environmental, or related discipline. Chartered Engineer status is essential.
• Experience: Proven background in delivering water projects in the UK Water Industry, with strong engineering, commercial, and risk management skills.
• Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities, with a drive for innovation and managing complex challenges.

Package:

• Full-time role, Monday to Friday, 37 hours/week.
• Hybrid working model: ideally 2 days/week in Falmer, flexible to 1 day every 2 weeks.
