Clean Water Network Modellers/Engineers – All levels.

Locations: Cardiff, Belfast, Bristol, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Epsom, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Peterborough, Warrington.

AtkinsRéalis is a leading name in Water Networks and influences discussions in the UK and internationally on future water network management. Due to growth in our Water business, we seek to recruit Clean Water Network Modellers/Engineers across UK offices. These roles offer flexible working, with potential home offices in listed locations. You will join a team of engineers, modellers, GIS specialists, and technicians, working on projects for clients including Water Companies, Local Authorities, developers, and international projects.

The team is part of Asset Planning & Solutions, working on water and wastewater projects, including designing water supply networks, trunk mains, drainage improvements, and flood control. The work involves feasibility studies, computer modelling, and analysis to support operational and environmental decisions. If you aim to develop all-round skills and find solutions for water management, a career at AtkinsRéalis is ideal.

Experience with Synergee, InfoWorks, GIS packages like ARC or MapInfo, and civil engineering is advantageous but not essential, as full training is provided. Tasks include feasibility studies, computer analysis, liaising with stakeholders, and producing short reports outlining findings.

Senior roles require experience in model usage, hydraulic analysis, solution development, and leadership to match position levels.

Requirements:

• Management and supervision of a team of water modellers.
• Implementation and development of innovative solutions.
• Modelling water distribution networks.
• Building and calibrating network models.
• Using models for planning, operations, and design.
• Managing Zonal Studies, Pressure Management, and DMA Design.
• Supervising report writing and reviewing outputs.
• Experience with SYNERGI, INFOWORKS WS, EPANET, Infowater, and other software.

Qualifications:

• BSc/BEng/MEng in geography, GIS, science, engineering, or equivalent, with professional qualifications for senior roles.
• Technician roles require HNC or HND in similar subjects; opportunities to qualify further are available.

Responsibilities:

• Developing computer models for water network issues and investment planning.
• Data analysis.
• Supporting engineering solutions and advising clients on asset investments.
• Developing reports and project deliverables.
• Preparing health and safety risk assessments.
