AtkinsRéalis is a leading name in Water Networks, shaping future water management in the UK and internationally. Due to growth, we seek Clean Water Network Modellers/Engineers across UK offices. These roles offer flexible working from multiple locations. You will join a team of engineers, modellers, GIS specialists, and technicians delivering projects for Water Companies, Local Authorities, developers, and potentially international clients.

The team is part of Asset Planning & Solutions, working on water and wastewater projects, including designing water supply networks, trunk mains, drainage schemes, and flood mitigation. This involves feasibility studies and computer modelling to support operational and environmental decisions. If you're eager to develop all-round water management skills, AtkinsRéalis offers a great career path.

Experience with Synergee, InfoWorks, GIS packages like ARC or MapInfo, and civil engineering is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided. Your work will include feasibility studies, computer analysis, liaising with stakeholders, and producing concise reports.

For senior roles, experience in model usage, hydraulic analysis, solution development, and technical leadership is required.

Requirements:

  • Management and supervision of a team of water modellers.
  • Implementation and development of innovative solutions.
  • Experience with water modelling and distribution networks.
  • Building and calibrating network models.
  • Using models for planning, operation, and design.
  • Managing Zonal Studies, Pressure Management, and DMA Design.
  • Supervising report writing and reviewing outputs.
  • Experience with SYNERGI, INFOWORKS WS, EPANET, Infowater, or similar software.

Qualifications:

  • BSc/BEng/MEng in geography, GIS, science, engineering, or equivalent; professional qualifications at senior levels are a plus.
  • Technician roles require HNC/HND qualifications; opportunities for further qualifications are available.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing computer models for water network issues and solutions.
  • Data analysis.
  • Advising clients on asset investments.
  • Supporting report and deliverable development.
  • Preparing health and safety risk assessments.

The Individual:

Motivated learners aiming for professional growth, capable of working independently and in teams, with a proactive attitude.

What we offer?

Flexible working options, supporting work-life balance, and a diverse workforce. No fixed hours or full-time requirement unless preferred.

Rewards and Benefits:

Competitive salary, 25 days leave plus holidays, options to buy/sell leave, and benefits detailed at YourReward at SNC-Lavalin.

Training:

Access to extensive training and development, supporting professional memberships.

Additional Information:

The role may require security clearance, dependent on UKSV vetting processes, including proof of UK residency for 5+ years. Please do not mention security clearance in your application.
