Job description

Salary: NLC3 £24,062 - £24,984 (Pro Rata)

This is an exciting opportunity offering an employment and training programme within the Community Learning and Development Teams across North Lanarkshire as part of the CLD young adult learning offer.

As part of the Young Adult Project, you will work as part of our Community Learning and Development (CLD) team to support the delivery of core functions including Adult Learning, Family Learning, and Youth Work.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals aged between 18–24 years (or up to 26 if care experienced). You must reside in North Lanarkshire and have some knowledge of Community Learning and Development, including the work of partner agencies and organizations. Successful candidates will have good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

This position is open to young adults who are not in employment, education, or training. Applicants must have a relevant qualification at SCQF level 4.

Successful applicants may be required to travel throughout North Lanarkshire. Hours are to be negotiated at interview.

The interview process will include an individual interview and a group work element.

The CLD Assistant Support Worker will be line managed by the Community Learning and Development Officer (Young Person’s Guarantee).

Working Pattern:

Hours are determined by the needs of the service, with 5 hours on Monday and the remaining 10 hours flexible between 9 am and 9 pm.

This post involves working across various locations throughout North Lanarkshire.

This is a temporary position until 31st March 2026.

You will need to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member before starting.
