WHAT TO EXPECT:
This is a great opportunity to join the JLR Clay Modelling team and have the chance to work across the 4 design studios working with some of the biggest automotive brands. If you are a fresh Art/Modelling graduate with 6-12 months experience in Clay Modelling then this could be the job for you. The purpose of this role is to assist in the development of world class clay models for both exterior and interiors designs through the JLR design process. It is a very creative role and requires flexibility, forward thinking and an eye for detail. The role requires an individual who is able to adapt to new technologies, use an array of tools both analogue and digital to greatly contribute to the design processes for our four individual brands. If you’re ready to help JLR to continue to advance in this area, this is what to expect.

You will:
• Work as part of a team in the development and delivery of our clay models for our customers in Creative
• Support the Senior Clay Sculptor Modeller on various projects across our four brands
• Apply a logical modelling approach to achieve the delivery of Creative clay properties to the recognised JLR standards within given timelines (i.e. programme gateways)
• Report timing and process issues to the lead modeller, whilst resolving or escalating any modelling issues as required
• Attend Design Delivery Programme Meetings if required

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
In addition to your drive for excellence, you’ll bring certain skills, qualifications and experience, including:
• Previous experience of clay modelling within a design studio
• Hard modelling skills
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
• A good background and experience of working in an OEM Design Studio
