Job description

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher

English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts

We are looking for a passionate and experienced New Zealand registered teacher to join our team in a part-time (.5 FTTE) capacity, working in a collaborative Y3–4 classroom. This position is intended to release our DP/Team Leader for leadership duties.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a warm, connected, and forward-thinking team who are committed to nurturing every learner. The successful applicant will work closely with our talented classroom teacher and team leader to ensure consistency, care, and high-quality teaching and learning.

We’re looking for someone who:

  1. Has recent, successful New Zealand classroom teaching experience
  2. Builds strong, respectful relationships with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues
  3. Demonstrates excellent communication and collaboration skills
  4. Has knowledge of structured literacy approaches or a willingness to upskill
  5. Is reflective, flexible, and contributes positively to team culture
  6. Brings a can-do attitude and a genuine commitment to inclusive, responsive teaching
