Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking dedicated Classroom Support Assistants to work in Somerset schools. You will support pupils' behaviour, engagement and wellbeing, in a structured classroom setting, gaining valuable experience within the school environment.

We welcome applicants with a patient, reliable approach; experience with children or young people; and a commitment to safeguarding. Roles are available full-time or part-time, with term-time hours and competitive pay (£14.24 p/h plus higher

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils in lessons, both 1:1 and in small groups
• Assisting the teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
• Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including SEND
• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting inclusion
• Supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing and development
• Assisting with breaktime supervision and school activities

Salary:£14.24 p/h - higher rates available depending on experience/qualifications

Vision for Education is working in partnership with welcoming and inclusive schools across Somerset to recruit dedicated Classroom Support Assistants. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact by supporting pupils' behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing in a structured and supportive learning environment, while gaining valuable experience within the classroom.

We are looking for committedClassroom Support Assistantswho can work closely with teachers to support learning and behaviour with both mainstream and SEN students of all ages, helping with engagement and confidence throughout the school day.

The Ideal Classroom Support Assistant Will Have:

Pay & Hours:14.24 p/h. Monday - Friday 08:30am - 15:30pm, term time only.
