Job summary

Ormiston Victory Academy is seeking a Cover Supervisor to supervise classes and ensure the completion of work when a teacher is absent. You will also back the student services team and support the academy's main reception, contributing to a welcoming learning environment.

Applications are welcome from candidates with suitable skills and experience regardless of formal qualifications; full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• To succeed in this role, you will need good interpersonal skills together with the ability to earn and maintain the respect of students.
• You must be enthusiastic and possess a determined character, together with a positive approach to working with young people and the ability to set clear guidelines for them to maintain standards of classroom behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes and oversee completion of work in the absence of the nominated teacher.
• Provide support for student services and the main reception.
• Support other academy functions and administrative tasks as directed.
