Graduate Cover Supervisor / Classroom Supervisor

Location: Newport | Start: October 2025

Hours: 08:10 - 15:10, Monday-Friday | Full-Time or Part-Time (Term-Time, Fixed Term)

Pay: £110 - £130 per day (depending on experience & qualifications, Paid PAYE)

What does a Cover Supervisor do?

Cover Supervisors take charge of classes when the usual teacher is absent, ensuring learning continues smoothly. You’ll be delivering pre-prepared lessons, keeping pupils engaged, and maintaining a positive learning environment — without the extra pressures of planning, marking, or assessment.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering pre-set lessons to classes of students aged 11-16
  • Supporting pupils during tasks and encouraging them to stay focused
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policy
  • Collecting work and reporting back to staff
  • Promoting a calm, safe, and inclusive classroom
