Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Classroom Learning Coach to work in welcoming Primary Schools, starting in September. This graduate-friendly role offers valuable school-based experience and a clear pathway into teaching, SEND support, and other child-focused careers.

You'll support pupils across EYFS to KS2 on one-to-one, small group and whole-class bases, delivering targeted literacy and numeracy interventions, and collaborating with teachers to create inclusive learning experiences.

Qualifications

  • Degree obtained within the last five years.
  • Professional employment references covering the last two years.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 on a one-to-one, small group and whole-class basis.
  • Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
  • Deliver targeted interventions in Reading, Writing and Maths.
  • Support pupils with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs and SEMH.
  • Encourage positive learning behaviours, engagement and classroom participation.
  • Help pupils develop confidence, resilience and independence.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional and communication development.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Assist with classroom preparation, displays and learning resources.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

We're currently recruiting for a Classroom Learning Coach to work within welcoming and supportive Primary Schools, starting in September.

This exciting opportunity is ideal for graduates looking to gain valuable school-based experience before progressing into teaching, educational psychology, SEND support, speech and language therapy, social work or other child-focused professions.

As a Classroom Learning Coach, you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development, helping them build confidence, overcome barriers to learning and achieve success within the classroom.

Your Main Responsibilities
  • Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 on a one-to-one, small group and whole-class basis.

  • Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences.

Ideal Background

We welcome applications from graduates who have completed one of the following degrees within the last five years:

  • Childhood Studies

  • Early Years Childhood Studies

  • Psychology

  • Criminology

  • BA Education

  • Primary Education

  • MA Education

  • MA Education (SEND and Inclusion)

  • PGCE

  • Other Education, Child Development or Social Science-related degrees

Requirements
