East Ayrshire Council is seeking a part-time, temporary support role at St Patrick's Primary School. The position involves assisting teachers by performing non-teaching duties and working under supervision. Applicants must meet PVG membership requirements, offering a salary range of around £15,000 for term-time work.
Provide support to teachers by undertaking a range of non-teaching duties, including classroom administration and practical tasks such as contributing to the preparation of teaching materials to assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council's key objectives.
The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member or be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update before any formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are continually updated, and any relevant information will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

This is a temporary, part-time, term-time role based at St Patrick's Primary School, Auchinleck. The hours are 25 per week, Monday to Friday, 9:15 am - 3:00 pm, under the direction of the line manager. The full-time salary range is between £24,333 and £25,353 per annum, with the part-time, term-time salary between £14,907 and £15,532 per annum.
The post is temporary until 31 March 2026.
