A leading council in Scotland is seeking part-time individuals to support learners and teachers through non-teaching duties. The role involves promoting educational objectives and requires membership in the PVG scheme to ensure child safety. This position is based at Crosshouse Communication Centre and is integral to the development of children with social and communication needs.
Provide support to learners and teachers by undertaking a range of non-teaching duties, including classroom administration and practical tasks such as contributing to the preparation of teaching materials. This role aims to assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of the key objectives outlined in the Education Service Plan and the Community Plan.
The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member or be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal offer of employment is made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are constantly updated, and any relevant information disclosed will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

There are four temporary, part-time, term-time posts based at Crosshouse Communication Centre, Crosshouse. The hours are 27.5 per week, Monday to Friday, and will be at the discretion of the Line Manager. The post involves working with children with social and communication needs, including Autism. The full-time salary ranges from £24,333 to £25,353 per annum, with part-time, term-time salary ranges from £16,398 to £17,085 per annum.
