Classroom Assistant - Carterton

ASAP start

KS1/KS2

Due to an exciting expansion, your local Carterton Primary School is looking for a full-time Classroom Assistant to join their dedicated team.

Salary: £83.50 - £90 per day (pre-tax, term time only)
Contract: Permanent, Term-Time Only
Hours: Up to 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

We welcome applications from both experienced Classroom Assistants from special education and those from mainstream backgrounds who are passionate about supporting students with mainstream and more complex SEND.

About the role

As a Classroom Assistant, you will connect directly with the wonderful West Oxfordshire pupils, helping them unlock their potential and thrive in their educational journey. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Organising the KS1/KS2 learning materials and running engaging classroom activities.
  2. Supporting the emotional and physical needs of students.
  3. Guiding pupils with complex Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
