Randstad Education is proud to be partnering with a number of exceptional SEN schools across West and East Sussex, seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support autistic students aged 11-16. These are long-term and temporary opportunities where you'll have the chance to make a real difference in a nurturing, inclusive, and rewarding educational environment.
Competitive hourly pay: £12.99 - £13.89 (dependent on qualifications)
Term-time only (40 hours per week)
Consistent working hours:
Monday-Wednesday: 8:15am - 4:45pm
Thursday: 8:15am - 5:00pm
Friday: 8:15am - 4:00pm

Prepare and adapt resources under teacher guidance
Promote an inclusive classroom where every student can thrive
Participate in the school's behaviour approach, including Team Teach interventions when required (training provided)
Complete all necessary documentation and reports in a timely manner
Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or voluntary setting
A Level 2 or higher Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
Minimum Grade 4 in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) - essential
Solid understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures
Familiarity with SEN, SEMH or ASD support needs
A compassionate and flexible approach with a student-centred mindset
Creativity and adaptability to meet varied needs within the classroom
Strong teamwork and communication skills
